Ingredients

  • Beef Bacon
  • Little Smokies (Beef or Chicken)
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Brown Sugar
  • Apple Cider Vinegar (or Balsamic Glaze)
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Garlic Powder
  • Wooden Skewers (4-6 inches)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Lay beef bacon strips flat and cut each strip into halves or thirds.
  3. Wrap a piece of beef bacon around each little smokie and secure with a soaked wooden skewer, arranging 3-4 on each skewer.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until bacon starts to crisp.
  5. While baking, whisk together BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar (or balsamic glaze), smoked paprika, and garlic powder to make the glaze.
  6. Remove skewers from the oven, brush glaze over each bacon-wrapped smokie, and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until crispy and caramelized.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving on a platter.
