  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup non-alcoholic cream (or choice of cream)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Splash of vanilla extract (for filling)
  • Festive holiday sprinkles or colored sugar (for decoration)
  • Crushed nuts or coconut flakes (optional for decoration)
  • Almond extract (optional for flavoring)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. In another bowl, cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until fully combined to form a soft dough.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
  6. Use a cookie cutter or a glass to cut out circles that are slightly larger than the openings of your shot glass.
  7. Place each circle into the shot glass, pressing down gently to form a cup.
  8. Place the shot glasses on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the glasses.
  10. While the cookie cups cool, mix 1 cup of your choice of non-alcoholic cream with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and a splash of vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and creamy.
  11. Once the cookie cups are completely cool, carefully remove them from the glasses.
  12. Fill each cookie cup with the creamy mixture, leaving a little room at the top.
  13. Top each filled cookie shot with festive sprinkles or crushed nuts for added texture and a holiday touch.
