- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1/2 cup milk
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. You want about one cup of mashed bananas.
- Add the sugar, eggs, and milk to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Gently fold in about 1/2 cup of Nutella. You can also reserve some Nutella to add on top before baking for an extra swirl effect.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full. If you saved some Nutella, drop a teaspoon on top of each muffin and use a toothpick to swirl it in lightly.
- Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the muffins to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
