Nutella Banana Swirl Muffins: Irresistibly Delicious Treats!

Nutella Banana Swirl Muffins are a delightful treat that combines the rich flavors of Nutella with the natural sweetness of ripe bananas. These muffins are easy to make and perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. You want about one cup of mashed bananas.
  3. Add the sugar, eggs, and milk to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  6. Gently fold in about 1/2 cup of Nutella. You can also reserve some Nutella to add on top before baking for an extra swirl effect.
  7. Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full. If you saved some Nutella, drop a teaspoon on top of each muffin and use a toothpick to swirl it in lightly.
  8. Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, allow the muffins to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
