Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 12 ounces short pasta (penne or rotini)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for finishing)
  • Chopped parsley or basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in 4 cloves of minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Pour in 4 cups of beef broth, then add 12 ounces of pasta. Stir everything together, ensuring the pasta is submerged in the broth.
  5. Add salt, pepper, and your choice of Italian seasoning (about 1 teaspoon) to taste. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and the liquid has mostly absorbed.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, feel free to add a little more broth or cream to reach your desired consistency.
  7. Stir in another tablespoon of butter for extra richness and a glossy finish. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and chopped parsley or basil for a fresh touch.
