Ingredients

  • Tater Tots
  • Ground Beef
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Pepperoni Slices
  • Optional Pizza Toppings: sliced black olives, diced bell peppers, thinly sliced onions, sautéed mushrooms
  • Italian seasoning
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking oil or grease.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
  3. Return the drained ground beef to the skillet and stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute.
  4. Pour the pizza sauce into the skillet with the beef and stir until well coated. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Arrange half of the frozen tater tots in a single layer on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Spoon the beef and pizza sauce mixture evenly over the tater tots.
  7. Sprinkle pepperoni or other optional toppings over the beef mixture, then spread half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the toppings.
  8. Layer the remaining tater tots over the cheese and toppings, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
