- 4–5 ripe bananas
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice 4-5 ripe bananas. Place them in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with ½ cup of brown sugar. Toss gently to coat the bananas and set aside to let them macerate.
- In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of milk, ½ cup of melted unsalted butter, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth and combined.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, pour the batter evenly across the bottom. Then, layer the macerated bananas on top of the batter.
- Sprinkle a teaspoon of cinnamon over the top of the bananas for added flavor.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
