Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice 4-5 ripe bananas. Place them in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with ½ cup of brown sugar. Toss gently to coat the bananas and set aside to let them macerate.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of milk, ½ cup of melted unsalted butter, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth and combined.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, pour the batter evenly across the bottom. Then, layer the macerated bananas on top of the batter.
  5. Sprinkle a teaspoon of cinnamon over the top of the bananas for added flavor.
  6. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Once baked, let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
